Troll and Fairy House Building Event attracts 65 children

The Wellesley Conservation Council (WCC) hosted 65 children and their grown-ups to build Woodland Troll and Fairy Houses at Pickle Point on Saturday, May 17 as part of Wellesley’s Wonderful Weekend. Children collected twigs, leaves, nuts, stones and more as they walked to Pickle Point, a small and lovely WCC property located on a peninsula jutting into Morse’s Pond. Once there, each child chose a tree and built their Troll and Fairy House—taking many unique and different forms. This was a happy and successful event. The weather was perfect and the children were excited to engage with nature in a creative and imaginative way. We look forward to sponsoring this popular event again next year.
