Directions to Guernsey Sanctuary
Directions: From Dover Rd, take Livingston Rd, which becomes Winding River Rd. Going toward Needham, just at the town line between Wellesley and Needham (at approximately 161 Winding River Rd), there is a small parking lot on the left. Park in the parking lot, walk a short distance northeast, then go left on the Guernsey Path. Follow this very wide trail a few hundred feet to the northwest. On your right you will see a wooden sign marking the entrance to Guernsey Sanctuary. This provides access to a 0.6 mile loop trail which passes through woods and runs along the shore of Sabrina Lake.
You can fish on the Land Trust's dock on Sabrina Lake. It's a decent 1/4 mile walk on trails through the sanctuary from one of the two entrances but nice open fishing from the dock. The two parking entrances are at 163 Winding River Rd, Wellesley, or at the end of the cul-de-sac at 130 Locust Lane, Needham. The dock is on the trail at the north end of the lake, just before Oak Island. It's a little challenging to find the first time, so get your bearings first.
[Note that Google Maps shows in green only that part of the Guernsey Sanctuary that lies in Needham. The majority of the sanctuary is in Wellesley.]
